I know.. how are you going to know what is going on at Bella's house if I don't post anything? I need to get better about my online journal.
So, life has been crazy. I think I am on day 21 in a row of work. I work for myself during the week and wait tables on the weekend, so there has been no rest for the wicked lately. I am looking forward to a day maybe two off in the coming holiday week. Business has been steady and I am thankful for that.
The biggest news lately for me is great news for my brother. I am the older sister, with 2 younger brothers. Mark, the middle child is 3 years younger than me and David, the youngest is 7 years younger. Since I have lived in Florida for going on 5 years I am certainly not as close with my brothers as I would like to be. Both of my brothers are still searching for their passion in life and I am excited to say that I think Mark is on the road to finding his. Mark was recently accepted into the Navy. I have very mixed feelings about the military part of it, but am so extremely excited for the opportunities that it will bring him. Mark will be leaving Colorado in 2 weeks and is going to see the world. I am very nervous that I may not have as many opportunities to see him for the next few years, but who knows he might be stationed in Florida and maybe I will have the chance to see him more than I would if he were back home. Either way, I know that there are amazing things to come for him and I am so excited for him to experience them.
My husband Greg and I are gearing up for a busy month and a half and I am sure we will be relieved when the new year comes. We are happy to be celebrating the holiday's at home this year. With next week being Thanksgiving and my birthday following closely after that, then Christmas it's going to fly by. I am SO ecstatic to be spending Christmas in Florida this year. Since I moved out here I have traveled back to Colorado every year to spend Christmas with my family. A few of those holidays my husband and I spent apart. My parents have recently divorced so it is time for our family to start some new traditions. Who can resist the thought of Christmas lights on a palm tree? I've even created a name for our new tradition.. a "flip flop Christmas"... and I wouldn't be surprised if we took a trip to the beach that day. We are so excited to have my mom out to share it with. Even Bella is excited about the upcoming visit from Grandma! Her ears perk when I mention her name.. she is so darn cute! To my family: I will miss you this year, hope you will be thinking of us and will consider joining in on our new tradition next year... you are all invited and bring your flip flops!

Life At Bella's House....
HELLO!!! I am new to this blogging thing and seem to be thinking about blogging more than I actually do it, but hopefully that changes in the months to come. I have my friend Jenn to blame for getting me excited about this whole new world. I find myself checking her blog daily and when she hasn't posted something I start to get antsy. Jenn designed a blog for my business (isn't she good?). I am enjoying writing about things happening in my business but I feel like I also need a place to write about my personal life vs. my business life.
So.. here it is.
A little background on me...
My name is Kim. I was born and raised in Colorado, but after college moved to Tampa, Florida along with my dog Bella and husband Greg (still boyfriend at the time). I left my family and all of my friends in Colorado and if not for Greg's family here in Florida I would have not been able to make such a transition. Now almost 5 years later I don't see myself anywhere else. We love it here.
Greg and I started dating when I was just out of high school in '99. We dated 8 years before we finally married here in Florida on the beach. Best day of my life!! So.. we are now going on 10 years together and life is amazing. He is my best friend and I feel so lucky to have him by my side.
Okay brace yourself... I am going to tell you something that seems to be illegal to tell people after you get married. Here it goes.... take a deep breath.... We're not sure we want kids. I am sorry to break it to you this way. It's weird, I know. I am almost 30 years old, and almost every one of my high school friends has at least 1, but I just don't have that maternal urge right now. I love my life right now. I love spending my spare time (the little that I have) with my husband and I LOVE working for myself. We have a little time to change our mind and I will surely keep you updated if I wake up one day and get that mommy urge.
